Duck in Mourning

I have a question....We had four Peking Ducks the absolute delight of my life....and last evening a FOX caught and killed the three female ducks and only the male survived. He is now going around looking for them and it breaks my heart....I have ordered new baby pekings but is there anything I can do before they arrive? DaffieDuckie

If you know someone with ducks, you could ask to "borrow" a couple of females for your poor guy. An electric fence can help with predators such as foxes, because dogs are extremely sensitive to electric shock and that will strongly deter them. So sorry!

It will be a couple if months before you can fully introduce the Drake to the Ducklings...You can keep them in a look no touch pen till they get older..

Sorry for your loss....I have a Fox problem too........Once the Fox got a taste of Duck he will be back......Keep your Duck locked up.....
