Like maybe they pulled the feather and somehow slipped an egg in there to fool me....

One of my runner girls doesn't quack as much as my others. She quacks when you pick her up and separate her.
Your duck doesn't have the drake curl, but I know sometimes they lose them during molts. She doesn't look like shes molting and her tail feathers are nice and solid.
She might not lay eggs until she settles in.

My Runner drakes both have their drake feathers right now. It's weird because during the summer when breeding is going strong they don't have their drake feather.

I'm just like, it would be just my luck, you know? Not the end of the world if she was a he, but it would make housing complicated.

Even though yesterday I got 3 runner duck eggs from 3 runner ducks, I'm still looking for that drake tail curl.

I was convinced that one of my Silkies was a cockerel until she laid an egg. I thought it was too good to be true that both straight run chicks were girls.

DH and I still turn to each other every once in a while and say in surprise, "Dandelion's a girl!"
