Duck is attacking my chickens

I have one duck he used to gwt along great with our chickens. Lately he has been running toward them and pecking at there heads and chasing them into there house. Our duck normally sleeps with them every night. Tonight I was able to get him back to his own cage and to separate him from the rest of our 11 chickens. What should I do???? Keep him locked up ????? Please help me. I don't want to get rid of him.

Get him some lady friends. It’s mating season and he’s wound tight right now.

Right now I have him in his own separate cage locked up with water. I don't want to take him out tomorrow. My chicken is so scared of him. I don't think a lady friend will help. He was not like this at all. We have a dog as well and he chases the dog too. Something is wrong with our duck. He used to be nice and would hang with the rest of our chickens and be nice.

Drakes will try to mate with anything this time of year

Mate? ?? He is running and pecking at the back of one chicken. His head. He is so scared he doesn't come out of the coupe, or eat. He will run to our garage and hide. How can I stop this mean behavior ????

Are you sure he is pecking and not trying to grab with his bill? It’s hard to say about the dog , maybe trying to keep the dog away from the chickens.

He is pecking. I have our duck locked up in his own cage with water. I'm afraid to let him out tomorrow . What should I do???

Try again tomorrow. We had to put a drake in jail Saturday for overmating one of the ducks. After a day in jail he was better. Sometimes doing time confined calms them down

I will keep him inside his cage until I know he is okay to come out. This weekend I can monitor him. I wish I knew what hi's issue is. He has never did this before.
