Duck Laid Eggs

A female duck, Puddles McQuackers, adopted me late last year. She has a house and man made pond outside and is taken care of by my boyfriend and I. Today we noticed there are four eggs in her house and we're not sure what we should do. Do we leave them or throw them out? Puddles is very proud of her eggs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

If there's no drake around, take the eggs and toss them. I assume you are not certain how old they are. Duck eggs can be eaten like chicken eggs, but I wouldn't want old eggs of any sort. That said, start checking regularly for eggs now and indulge in the awesome treats. They are great for baking especially.

Now if there is a drake around... that changes things. Then I would leave the eggs alone and see if she attempts to hatch them.
