They sure did!Sounds like they hit it off great.
I just started because there were eggs that needed to be rescued, ive already made a post on this forum on the Florida thread looking for a home, and I also have a family in Texas showing some interest, and i will drive them all the way there if I have to. I have a fence with a net over it that I can set up outside here if they still are here by the time they're big enough to go outside. I will find them a good home within the next few months for sure.Sorry I have been off site getting my house ready for sale. I'm glad you got advice from others.
Very sorry to hear that the peachick didn't make it. Out of the 15 hatched this year we lost one. Sometimes they just fail to thrive.
My unsolicited advice is to stop weighing them every day or you could drive yourself crazy with worry. If they are active, eating, and drinking they are probably doing OK.
I made sure to have mine were loose, but secure, in an area every day so they could get more exercise than the brooder box provided. Plus it was free entertainment as they are so funny dashing around and practicing flying.
In one message, you said you would not be able to keep them where you live. Not to sound harsh but why did you start this process if you knew they couldn't stay. What are you going to do as they grow. They are big birds, need lots of space, and their call can be heard for miles.
I don't know what your covid restrictions are, but I had no problem selling my chicks using Kijiji.
