duck laying question

Khaki's and Indian Runners are really good layers. (Average 300/year)
After that, you have Buff's and Welsh Harlequins. (Average 200-250/year)

As for Moscovies, I thought they were seasonal layers and tended to go broody? Aren't they a better choice for a meat duck than an egg layer?

as long as you take all their eggs muscovys won't go broody. I have had them lay from march till the middle of october. by then most duck aren't laying. But muscovys will stop in very hot weather, I live in TN and when it hits high 90's and the 100's they will stop. My chickens do too. But when it cools back down they will take awhile till they will start laying again. My older duck didn't lay again at all after it cooled down. I'm not sure if this is all muscovys or just mine.
