My Pekin duck, Honey, has an injury to her foot/ankle. She does have some swelling and heat coming from the area. I believe the injury is from my drakes over mating her. Other than separating them, what else do you suggest I do to help her? Any pain meds safe for ducks? I don't have a picture of the foot but I will try to get one without disturbing her too much as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it's obvious that she is uncomfortable. Thank you for any help you can give

I've been very picky about where these drakes go, and have had trouble finding anyone that has and utilizes a duck house to keep their ducks safe overnight. I know some folks that will take the 2 drakes that won't leave her alone, but no duck house and free ranging 24/7

Someone offering to take drakes is rare, i might consider anything better than the alternative

i cant comment on pain meds for ducks, i know there are some that might work. @Miss Lydia or @WVduckchick do you know the name and dosage of a safe med?

if it were me ide do warm water soaks a few times a day

The 2 smaller drakes are the ones that are abnoxious and they are just over the top. It's almost like they can't figure out how so they just keep trying over and over and over. The other 2 drakes aren't like that, at all. I do realize that spring is coming and they could change at any time. Do you think I should get rid of all 4 drakes or just the 2 that are hurting Honey? My Jumbo Pekin is in love with my Buff Duck and she loves him just as much. They're crazy if they're separated. He doesn't try to mate out of the water so would it be okay to keep him and my other Pekin Drake that is disabled?
