Duck leg/foot pain relief options?

Is a vet an option? I hate to be all wishy-washy on giving medication advice, but in this case I really think it would be best for you so consult a vet.

She is losing weight, and her joint is really swollen, the really concerns me.

Unfortunately I've had no luck in finding anyone local that will evn en consider treating her (canine/feline vets) and from what I've heard about charges, I can't afford an avian vet

Does anything on the bottom of her foot look like bumblefoot?

There are several spots that look like maybe bacteria got in. The problem is that the joint looks infected now, and that is pretty serious.

Does she need to be put down? Am I causing her to suffer since I'm unable to take her to a vet? Honestly I can't imagine having her put down as we just lost my dog, but I don't like to have an animal suffer if there is no chance at recovery. She's a sweetheart and it's going to break my daughter and myself but I don't want to make her life worse, because she's brought so much joy to our lives

Me too. I am such a mess now, but I am trying to figure out something. This is so heartbreaking and I just feel sick thinking about how she must feel. She deserves so much more than me

Maybe you can do some research on the antibiotics you have and see which one would be best to try. Just don’t let her be moving around so much right now.

She's in a dog cage right now while I figure out what to give her. I'll move her back out to her cage in the duck house as soon as I figure it out.
