So this morning, I let my ducks out, they roam the backyard through the day, and noticed one was limping. I don't see any apparent injury, is there anything I can do for him now or just wait and watch it? I know there's other posts like this but I did have a few other questions. 1. I know for sure one is a male, but thought at least one other was female, now I'm not sure. Any thoughts? 2. I have a large dog kennel that five of them sleep in, they come in around 7p and go out the next morning around 7. Is it too small for five ducks?

First of all, thanks for the pictures. They’re adorable.
The standard recommendation for Ducks sleeping accommodation is 4 square feet per bird.
To be honest, some of my ducks have about 3 1/2 ft.² each right now and they’re fine.
So for five ducks, you would want close to 20 ft.²
What are the measurements of the dog crate?

Have you had them since they were ducklings? Did you ever supplement them with niacin?
What form of niacin did you use if so?
What kind of Feed do you have them on? Treats?

When I have a duck, that is limping, usually I give them some time out to rest and start giving them 1 ml of liquid b complex daily for a couple of weeks because it strengthens their legs.

Here’s the best kind

As you can see on the back label, it has 100 mg of niacinamide per ML. Most other supplements do not have this much.
Besides that, if you give them anything that is time released or flush free, it will not work. It will go through their system too fast to do any good.

Have you looked at the bottom of his or her feet? Check for bumble foot, that can make them limp if that is the case take a picture and post it here please.

Here are the instructions for giving the B complex supplement orally. You can also squirt it over a small dish of treats that they like such as mealworms and make sure they eat it all.

Heyy by the way you can tell the sex by their voice - only girls have loud quacks. The boys have more of a raspy, quieter, Cree Cree sound.
And if you can a video of the one who is limping. You can upload a video to YouTube or some other host like Vimeo and then post the link here.

Of I did my measurements right it's only 9 square feet, I feel bad I didn't know it was that small. I have something I fix that tonight. I got them from a hatchery online, I've had them since they were born, which was July 21. For the first week or so, I put vitametz in there water and until a couple weeks ago they had Purina duck Feed, now it's Purina all flock. They only treats are vegetables.

When I went out later, I couldn't tell if one was limping or not, so here are all of them running around. I hope it helps.

They are so so cute. Oh that’s wonderful that Nobody’s limping anymore! And I definitely heard at least one boy and at least one girl. The one who was limping before may have just twisted her foot or something maybe stepping in a little little hole you can use gravel to fill in holes and I like to use horse stall pellet bedding in muddy spots it absorbs it sometimes I use a mixture of gravel and sand. It helps with the mud and slippery around the pools. I also put pieces of outdoor carpet around and steppingstones. I’ve been doing this for many years and it’s built up to be less slippery now but the first couple years that I had Ducks my whole yard was so slippery. I even slipped and fell some times. lol but the ducks were having fun lol they sure love making muddy puddles 😂

I'm going to have to try those ideas. They love their pools but it can get very slippery

So it's definitely limping again this morning. I didn't see anything on it's foot. When you say give them a rest, should I lock her up for the day? I'll get the vitamin bought as soon as I can.

Yes I lock up sick or limping ducks in my “hospital room” if you can bring one duck in with her who is her best friend you can use a large dog crate or something you can also put her in a dog crate in the area of the other Ducks so she can see them if you can’t fit another duck in with her wherever your duck resting space is.
Did you Carefully feel up and down her leg for any hot spots ?
Is there any swelling anywhere?
Can you post a limping video?
