Duck Names

Just throwing something out, but you could play around with the saxony angle.... Three names come to mind Saks Fifth Avenue... Go with a theme of high end retailers... Saks, Tiffany, bloomingdale... I should stop, shouldn't I?

Okay, based on this suggestion, these are the names I came up with.


Boscov - Drake
Penney - Hen
Macy -Drake or Hen
Peebles - Hen
Kohl - Drake
 
A few of these are local stores, but I loved the names and they sound cute without being too overly ducky.

Lol, I thought everyone would hate those... See what I know, right? I kinda feel special now.

Ok, in three weeks I'm going to come after everyone to help me name my new babies. 6 set and 6 doing backflips when candled today.

Yes, THANK YOU!!! My husband loved the names too. Peebles is a store his 2nd wife (who passed from cancer) used to love. And his first wife (who also passed from cancer) loved Boscovs. It was a neat way to tie everything together for us. And meant something to him.

Please let your husband know I blew my one good idea for you guys and now I'm going to need his help naming a few of my own. No more Fred and Bitey fiascos for me thank you very much, although I do have 2 of Fred's eggs in the incubator (I had to set them, I couldn't give up the chance to keep a peice of Fred with us).

I have a year old Pekin hen names Kevin when he was little I was hoping she was a drake but turns out she was a hen!! I know it's a drake name but I like it but I call her "Kev" for short <3yaKev

My Ancona Drake is Fig. The two Ancona girls are Ingrid and Tallulah.

And since it's similar, my chickens names are: Isadora, Violet, Henrietta, Harriett, Sugar Magnolia, Petunia, Olive, Tillie, and Ginger. We also have had a Delilah, Cordelia, Zoe, Lucille.

I started with 6 Pekins Mr. Quackers who was a she and later named Mrs. Quackers(RIP), I have a girl named cheese to go with Quackers lol. I have another girl Chloe. The boys are Goose, Aflac, and Allen(RIP). I got the name Allen from two and a half men because he would zip through the water like crazy and I was gonna name him Zippy, which in the show is Bertas nickname for Alan. Recently I got 15 more ducklings and I've named them all. Three dot who's an Ancona with 3 dots on her head. Speedy, cotton, Han Solo(a girl whose name just came to me), little who is my only runner, Splash,puddle, the Campbell sisters(2 khakis), Petri my boy Rouen(from land before time movies), Sophia, Beatrice, and my cayugas are storm like names because they are black. Thunder(my boy), cloud, and storm. That's all mine lol. And I've got 3 geese coming next week to name
