Duck built a nest in my fire pit. It's a Muscovy from what I've seen. Pretty sure she layed her eggs in the past couple of days. Only got a quick glance at them(estimated 10-15 eggs) last night upon trying to shoo her away since I have dogs. After seeing the nest I've decided to wait it out and just take my dogs out on a harness and leash. Main question here is it possible that I could leave some type off food for her so she does have to stay too far.

Here she is in all her glory

Aww she is so pretty. Yes you can get some type of chicken feed only problem is once you put food out and leave it out it will draw predators she will be vulnerable enough just being out in the open but with food close by she won’t stand a chance

I was also thinking this. I figured I would ask first. I'm 27 and other than an occasional bird's nest in a tree this is a new experience for me and my nephew to watch unfold. I want to try and keep her and her nest as safe as possible without overstepping and stressing her out.
