Hello everyone, this morning, I noticed my duck did not want me to pick her eggs. If she does it again tomorrow, I will let her keep 3 eggs to hatch. Any advice for a new 'grandma' like me? :) I am soooooo excited:)

She does sound broody~

Advice? hmm well i make sure mama to be has access to nice clean bedding often, i find they nest tweak.. after that i ensure she's nested in a safe spot!

AFter that i let her handle stuff only after the ducklings hatch will i often fence her off for a couple days to bond with the babies, get safe waterers and duckling reachable feeders(and starter and/or all flock, multipurpose feed, yes mama can eat that too)

Best thing for someone new to it? stick around here lol many of us have done it and more than happy to aid as you go along.
