Duck passed away, green throw up

We brought her inside yesterday because she was lethargic/having a hard time walking but this had happened before because she is an adopted Jumbo Pekin who sometimes has joint issues.

This time was different though, and last night when I checked her before bed she had sort of a gurgling sound to her breathing. This morning I woke up to her dead in her crate, with green bile/vomit on the bedding and around her mouth. Any idea what could have happened?

i’m so sorry for your loss! i don’t know what the green means unless if she just ate something green . i have an adopted pekin i bring inside for leg therapy every day i know how attached we can get to them and it’s very painful when they die again i’m so sorry.

I'm sad for you and Big Bertha. I too have no idea about the vomit. But know you did the best for her. Jumbo prkins dont have long lives, and sadly arthritis can be a problem with them.
