Duck picking feathers off breast of other duck...

i only hace the two ducks. he is not mating with her no but her longer feathers are gone and laying on the ground. she still has feathers but its the long flight feathers that are gone, they both are in the same enclosure now away from my hens, hens feathers are not starting to grow back. i dont know if he is trying to show dominancy to the female or what. but they dont change no one and no he is not aggressive toward her. they stay side by side from what i've been watching.
