Duck pipped but is not zipping or trying

Hi we found a duck egg on the path. Had an old quail incubator and stuck it in.

It's day 28. It pipped yesterday around 5pm. It's been 24 hours and apart from making the pip hole big enough to stick It's beak out. It hasn't zipped.

Just sat there opening and closing it's beak and cheeping at me. Should I help ?

If it looks like its chewing or eating something I would say it's still absorbing it's yolk sac. And still needs some time yet. I haven't hatched duck eggs before but heard they can take awhile to hatch after pipped. I'm sure some experienced duck folks will give you some answers. Good luck

ducks can take up to 48hrs between pipping and zipping i think. like huntmaster said if it's still making 'chewing' motions with its beak it's not ready yet.
