Hi everyone.
I have 2 ducks and i let them go to my terrace today and they accidentally ate chemical soil.
And now my female ducks has this wierd sounds. Its like hiccups but somehow feels like theres something in her throat or she has food poisoning. Im really worried about her. Please help.

I looked at the videos in your PM, and it does appear she has something stuck in her throat, but her overall condition appears to be stable.

If you run your hand along her neck, can you attempt to massage the object downwards? Try to provide head deep water, and ensure her feed is moist with water to allow easier eating for the time being. If you are concerned whether she may have eaten something toxic in your soil, you could offer her some activated charcoal in her feed.

I massaged her neck and there was no object. I also opened her beak and looked into her throat and there was nothing. She had lettuce a few minutes ago and she had no problem eating.

If she is eating, drinking, and breathing ok, I would likely monitor her for the time being. Oftentimes, you'll be unable to feel the object externally, but it is also possible she inhaled some debris, seeds, or feed dust into her airways which can often cause similar sounds to what you're hearing. In my personal experience, these problems generally resolve themselves over a few hours or a day.

Then i shouldnt be worried? These ducks mean everything to me😭

Keep an eye on her, but I don't think it's to the stage where you have to be worried. These problems are most frequently due to an obstruction of the upper airway, or esophagus, but usually, resolve by themselves. As suggested previously, ensure she has head deep water as that can aid in the debridement of the object. Also, ensuring not to feed her any food that may irritate her respiratory tract (dusty feed), or anything large can help at keeping the problem from becoming worse.
