Duck Pond [FINISHED]

Do you have any plants or algae on the sides yet? That helps with water quality too. The only plants I’ve been able to keep are lizards tail - the ducks eat everything else. Little buggers!
No, I dont have algae yet

So what plants can be used? I could technically put a thin layer of rocks and plant some around the sides. Can live plants you would use in an aquarium be used? Are there any that are edible for ducks? I haven't done live plants in a while for tank because of snails.

@llombardo yeah - don't scrub off the algae until it gets so thick you can't stand it anymore (unsightly). It is a natural filter and provides oxygen. Also the ducks will eat it and the bugs that live in it. Good luck finding plants - my ducks have eaten everything except the lizards tail.

@NoahSully is right - the pond filter system has a bio filter to help grow good bacteria. I supplement with the beneficial bacteria like @Jpat said bc there's just so much poop so I need a LOT of good bacteria LOL.
