Duck problem too many males

Thank you in advance. I have been hatching eggs for other people for some time and my children have wanted to hatch and keep some of our own ducks so a woman I know had some fertile khaki Campbell possibly mixed with Cayuga breed eggs so I decided to let the children each pick an egg and low and behold before long we had four beautiful ducklings.... They are now around 14 weeks old and i pretty sure that I have ONE female and THREE males to which one of them is huge I'm pretty sure I'm right to be concerned about when they become interested in her I really do not want to get rid of her they currently have the whole run of the garden but I do not want to separate her alone so. What are my options! I'm thinking either find more females to up the ratio of females to males but that's quite a lot of ducks lol or do I find one more female and separate them as a pair any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thinking I should of just stuck with my chickens miss them too

We have to many drakes we have 4 drakes and 6 girls adding more in my opinion does not work well unless you get for sure a girl. Ducks are awesome

You're correct that you'd need to add a lot of ducks to make that work out right if you really do have 3 drakes. Once you know for sure that they're drakes, is rehoming two of them an option?

The pair of females idea - kept away from the drakes - sounds good to me, just thinking off hand.

I have had it confirmed today I certainly do have three drakes and one female :/ Thank you to everybody who responded. I'm not concerned about eggs or breeding just want everybody to get along I don't really want to part with any of them after looking after them from hatching we are all attached to them.



So can i put my girl with any breed I'm thinking keep my eyes peeled for a pair of girls that need rehoming they do me a favour I look after them in return lol.

In this regard, you seem to think and feel like I do.

I have had mixed results with integrating ducks - Romy and Michele - Buffs - were working it out with the Runners within hours. To this day, I must keep the Coffee trio - Buffs - as a separate flock. It seems to have more to do with Bean being of the drake persuasion than breed. And, R&M stuck together, even though they moved with the Runners. Since Michele died, Romy and Acht have become BFFs. So, it's up to the ducks. But going slow with introductions and giving treats can really help improve the likelihood of flock harmony.

That will work as well since you're willing to keep them separated. I'd try to stick close to the same weight range as the duck you already have. That simplifies things a bit.
