Duck problems

Cuts on her bill can you post a picture? And your seeing what’s perfectly normal. Ducklings as they mature do become more independent. It’s going to mean you’ll just have to accept it lol. Still though like many of the rest of us we just keep on hanging out with them and keep on handing out treats and they tolerate us lol.

It’s hard to get a photo now. The cut is maybe a little smaller, but I don’t know what it could be from. Maybe my chickens?

Yeah I don’t know what did it, but you’re right. We are getting the shed ready for them anyways, more space. But my duckling is a little bigger than my chicks. I don’t think she would let them do that right?

Mine free range inside fencing whichdoes offer some protection. But anytime we decide to free range it’s always in the back of our minds there is always that chance we may lose some. But I like mine to be as natural a life as possible. If I didn’t have fencing I wouldn’t have poultry. Just my opinion. Your duckling hasn’t any way to really protect it self if closed up with chickens. Also once your chickens know home most of the time they will come home to roost. Some birds like games would rather roost in trees though.
