Duck proof pond plants

Hello, I have serious algae problems and I would like to put some plants in to use up some of the nutrients. They would need to be in pots with gravel. do you have anything you recommend?

most pond plants are okay like lilly ads and such but your ducks might eat those before they doing anything for the algae

Ok, I will try and find something relatively indestructible! They are only calls so not to rough/big.
