Duck swollen eye

Hi I am a new duck owner. I have 1 female and 1 male. My female woke up this morning with a swollen eye. See picture attached. She appears to be perfectly normal happy quacking away eating drinking walking around etc. should I be concerned?
(I noticed this is under hatching I didn’t mean to do that. I am new to this site)

Judging from the greenery in the background of the picture, I'm under the assumption you live in a warm climate, and it's possible something might have stung her eye?

If not a sting bite, it could be an injury or some sort of infection. If I were to see that I'd just cover all bases, and administer some Benadryl which should help if it's related to a sting bite, and addressing infection, I would flush the eye with some saline, and apply an antibacterial ointment, or an ophthalmic ointment like Terramycin. If she doesn't show improvement to that, it may be best to consult a vet, as an eye prolapse could be another possibility.

Poor thing, Maybe something got into her eye to irritate it and or plugged eye duct?

I spend a lot of time off and on with them today. When I went out there the 2nd time the puffiness seemed to go way down to almost nothing. It’s still there a little and stayed that way for the rest of the day. Very strange. I’ll keep you posted.
