I think a raccoon carried it off one night.

I like that thing @Jpat mentioned, I'm sure mine would be petrified at first.
As for free range, that's different thing to diff people. Mine spend many days in their run, which is 12x8. Legally they must be in there all the time, but they do free range in a larger fenced in area when we are home.
I recently tried storing a pile of straw in their run, so I didn't have to go get it in the garage. My 2 pekin love drilling holes in it and moving it around. I just pile it back up daily and they go at again.I am thinking about some of these engagement toys. I don’t think my 18x26 pen is going to be enough to entertain them long term.
Ducks don't have to be free range to forage. Mine forage all day and they are fenced in on the sides and netted on the top!Well then Ducks should be reconsidered as far as keeping. They definitely require room to forage..
Well then not free range then are they..?Ducks don't have to be free range to forage. Mine forage all day and they are fenced in on the sides and netted on the top!
..No they are not, which is what I said at the beginning of the post. My point was that ducks that aren't free range can still forage.Well then not free range then are they..?..
