How do you post videos please??? And can you send them via private messages?

On my screen, the ninth icon from the left (between the photo and smiley face) is for posting videos.

The video must be on Youtube or Vimeo - you paste the link in the field of the window that comes up when you click the icon.

Thank you so much... I truly love this site, but I really wish there were some better ways to obtain information for things like this. I click the little icon and I get the video, /video code, but nothing else. I didn't know how to go about it.
