Duck VS rooster!

So my chickens have become much braver over the last week, and coming up to the house, and other buildings (usually they stay by the barn) Well today my Roo and my rouen hen went at it like crazy! I had to shoe the chickens back downto the barn and chase my hen back up to the other ducks since my hen wouldn't let up!

I assume this is normal territoral behavior?

No I have drakes...she's like this with our dogs too...I got her about a month ago and she had had a batch of ducklings in spring and guess the owners dog got a hold of 2 and she said her chickens would go after the ducklings too. I am assuming she thinks she needs to protect the rest of the flock....

Yeah, its rare the chickens come up that far almost half a mile from there coop! But I am going to keep an eye on them more during day. It got pretty nasty she had my roos wing good

sad because he was just defending his ladies from her, and he's the biggest sweetheart

The other ducks didn't care about the chickens.

Well at least u know she will be a very protective mom.
