Duck with a feathers missing on lower chest

If your Duck has leg issues is it spending more time laying down on that flooring you have? Rubbing all her chest feathers off?

I considered that, but she doesn't lay down enough for that to happen. She swims a lot as well.

I see fluff coming back and feathers, wondering if molting then?

Like I said from the beginning she is in molt..

Hard to say for sure but that’s great the feathers are coming back in good. I haven’t ever seen just a molt on chest an tummy but every duck is different on how they go about it I reckon.

I think she may be plucking? The fluff and growth was slowly disappearing again. So I out the apron on her. She's not thrilled, she can't get to her best anymore. Lol.

Lol, duck therapy. Lay her down on a duck size couch and let her quack her stress and problems away.

Ughhhh, she figured out how to move the apron and started plucking her chest again. She seems happy as can be except her lack of chest feathers. I checked for mites but found none and treated just in case.

Even put the peck no more on her. Nothing helped.

She's driving me crazy by out smarting me, lol.

Just thought to keep everyone updated. I think it was molting?

Her feathers all grew back and she is back to normal!
