Duck with BB possibly still in wound

Your ducks are so cute! I hope she recovers alright. How is she doing today?

She's doing well, wanted to go outside so we tried a bit of time in the yard... all the boys are leaving her alone and her broodmtes have been spending time around her... she got her appetite back fully after spending time outside too...

We determined it was one of the neighbors grandsons, he told on himself... we're all taking necessary precautions so it doesn't happen again...

@Amiga thank you for replying! Yes, irrigated the wound and also made it bleed while cleaning it out, am very aware of the more susceptibility to infection a puncture wound is... tried a magnet and she flinched hard once, but not sure if it was from movement of the possible BB or if I touched her with it??
Good to hear that it might not be an issue, toxicity wise, that was my main concern...

I am glad to hear that she's doing alright so far. This thread just broke my heart. I hope she continues to heal. I am so glad her friends are being a great support system for her!

Glad to hear it sounds like it won't be an on going issue with your neighbor. I've had nightmare neighbors before and it can get ugly. So glad she is doin better! Keep up the good work I would have freaked out and not known what to do!

She made a full recovery and I am hard pressed to pick her out from the flock now, lol... thank you, everyone, for all the support and well wishes...
