Duck with feathers missing on back of neck

I have 4 female ducks and 2 drakes. They’ll be 3 months old on the 27th. I noticed tonight one of my Pekin females had feathers missing on her neck. Would one of the drakes have done it? Are they even old enough to start doing that to the females yet? I haven’t noticed any behavior like that but I’m not with them the majority of the day.

My girls get a bit thin in the back of the neck thanks to Magnus being over amorous.

Already though? They’re not even 3 months. I guess I don’t really know when that all starts but none of the other females have missing feathers

Yeah, very unlikely that their mating this early. A picture might help determine the origin of the feather loss.

Are they in a mixed flock? I have a guinea that relishes sneak attacks and grabs a beak of feathers just for fun.

2 pekins, 3 Rouens and a khaki mix. Like I said I’m not with them most of the day, they just free range but when I am with them they all seem to get along so well. I swear she wasn’t missing feathers last night or this morning.

Could have been a predator, another duck, or a bald spot due to molting.
