Duck with injured eye

I don't think many people use that form of Sulfa in horses, most of us use SMZ/TMP. BTW, both roommate and I have horses.

I have Bactrim 400-80mg tablets can I do anything with that?

I dunno...I had to look that one up and its primary ingredient is SMX, which treats primarily anaerobic bacteria. Pretty much the opposite of what would be hangin' out in an eye. The type of sulfa I was looking for is typically called TMS, or Trimeth-Sulfa. I've found that on 1-800 pet meds before, but they require a working scrip.

I admit I know next to nothing about large quadripeds. The stuff you linked was for cows, why wouldn't it be used for horses as well? Funny how different similar animals' metabolisms can be! (please don't kill me for comparing a horse to a cow)

I think the Bactrim is SMZ/TMP

SMZ = SMX. Sorry. :p Names for meds are convoluted that way.

Hey, Fuzzie? Did you ever start those saline rinses? If we're lucky, she may not even need antibiotics in the first place. I wish we could see that video so we can look at how she's behaving on her own.

I rinse her eye with saline but she bathes herself in fresh bath water. She's acting normal. I have her seperated in a dog crate now since the boys were fighting over her when I got home today. There are 9 other girls ( 1 doesn't count shes raising babies) and they have to push each other around over her. She can't see out of that eye because it is so swollen. I can get a video when I get her out later for her bath
