Duck with injured leg

Our duck hurt her leg a couple months back. We took her to the vet and we’re told she had an Infection. She took the whole round of antibiotics and seemed to be better but it has now gotten progressively worse. Her entire left leg is twisted to the side and she is using her right leg turned in and a wing to basically pogo around. The injured joint is swollen and feels like it may be out of place. What else can we do? We can’t wrap it because she picks are it so much and won’t walk with it wrapped. And we can’t have her just swim because it’s still winter here and we don’t have our pool filled. I attached some pics

Is there any chance you can take her back to the vet, or see another vet familiar with poultry?

The severe angulation of the leg is indicative of some sort of luxation, or misalignment in the joint. Determining the nature of the injury would be best done at your vet, so radiographs can be done. If infection is also suspected, fine-needle aspiration of the swelling can be done to determine the prominent bacterium, and what antibiotic would prove most effective.

Swim her in the bathtub, keep her well fed and confined to a small area like a brooder box.
