Duck with Splayed? legs

I had one that used to do that and when it stood up straight it would get shaky and then fall back into that sitting position. There were a few things that helped and she is totally normal now.

1. I gave liquid B-Complex, straight to bill, not diluted in the waterer, every day, twice a day (I did not give B-complex until after I noticed problems with my duckling at a few weeks old)
2. I fed flock raiser (higher in niacin than most chick starters) AND still added nutritional yeast
3. More freedom! In a small brooder ducklings don't always walk as much as they should, more space and/or field trips outside or at least out of the brooder gives them a chance to exercise their legs more and develop their muscles better
4. More swimming! What duckling doesn't love swimming? Ducks that are not strong enough to stand well often can still swim well, more swimming will help strengthen those muscles.

Good luck! Don't give up. I think you've still got hope. I would probably get the liquid b complex injectible and give it orally as this will give the highest concentration the fastest. You can put it on a special treat to try and get the duckling to eat it all.
