Duck won’t sit

My duck has lots of hereditary problems but is starting to get better....manageable.
She broke her wing and won’t sit. Even in the middle of the night when I peek at her she’s standing. Is there anything different I can do?

If she broke her wing she should receive medical attention, can you take her to a vet? Do you have a picture?

Can she lift her wing out of the way to lay down? Or is it close to her body? A lot of ducks sleep standing up though

I did take her to a vet. He wrapped it and she had it off by morning. I keep rewrapping it but she’s determined.

As long as it’s normal to sleep standing then I won’t worry as much. She’s been through a lot and is finally starting to seem more like her normal self.

Bless her heart you might try tapping it then going around her body with vet wrap. To hold it in place?

It is the underside that comes off and starts the unraveling so I’ll try that. Thanks.

Just make sure if using vet wrap not to wrap too tight and cut off circulation.

you also might try after wrapping to use a heavy duty tape over the vet wrap like duck tape as long as it doesn’t get on the feathers

Could you post a picture of your wrapping job? I had to bandage up a wild Candian Gander's wing up once, this what I did,
