I like separate Oyster, Grit and Scratch. Makes it easy on the birds to choose what they want. With a Mix, like above, the birds will sort through and make a mess as they use their beaks to flip the stuff they don't want or like, all over the coop or run. I have a pair of injured girls in the house. We mixed sunflower Seed with their feed. We ended up with sunflower seeds all over the table and floor around the feeder. These two just don't like them...JJ

Yes they will put dirt in their water do you think you could get them some with their food?

I’m not sure if we buy them separately. They are fine with digesting I’m pretty sure as they dig holes everywhere . And they just eat dirt and we have these Little Rocks that they ‘grind’ while in their mouths. When we first got them we actually wondered why they were doing that but I found out a couple weeks later. I’ll feed them oyster shell separately then.
