Duckling ate a bee

I just saw a duckling eat a bee, she’s about 4 weeks old. She is acting normal, should I be concerned?
Also, there’s ants all over because of the water the ducklings spill all the time, should I do something about it?
New duck mom here. I appreciate any input.

About your bee situation my turkeys eat bees ALL THE TIME! One of them even got stung in the mouth! But it’s fine if they eat bees so long as they don’t get stung then swollen! I’m not sure on your ant situation but if it doesn’t cause any problems I would say it’s fine! Not much you can do about them because I think they would be around even if water wasn’t being spilled!

Sometimes (but not very often) but they are generally smarter and more cautious around bees (chickens especially) so I wouldn’t worry! They also respond to stings differently than people (is what I’ve read).

This is great info, I was just about to post this question and came across the thread. We have several areas of ground bees and while I wouldn't just lead the ducks over to them right off the bat, it would be nice to know if they can chomp them down without too much worry....
