Duckling born with a cord sticking out

One of my ducklings that has hatched has an cord attached to it & it’s dragging it around. If anyone could identify it what it is it would help us out a lot. It cord got stuck on a stick today and we had to poke it off with a stick but we’re afraid it’s a birth defect or is harming the duckling is since it keeps getting stuck and stepped.

Can you get pics of the "cord"? I can't see much from that pic.
 
Yes I will try unfortunately this batch of ducklings she’s being super protective of them

Good news !! Some of it actually wound up falling off so it’s not getting stuck and dragging. There’s still a little left but I think it’s ok 😁
