That four months is long enough for my bones to start creaking, though. Now now, young lady, you have only been here for four months longer than me!![]()
That four months is long enough for my bones to start creaking, though.Age is sure catching up with me, but I'm not too old to steal BURDZ!
You couldn't possibly have the heart to stop a little old lady, now could you?

Couldn't possibly, eh? We'll see about that!
one of my hens was picking on my little call babies this morning!I haven't hijacked Banti's thread in a long time, but shes so sweet about us going off topic that I cant resist.![]()
Question; Any of you duck & chicken people ever had one of your hens picking on your duck. This just started here about a week ago & happens about once a day. Weird thing is that its my lowest ranking, most timid chicken that's causing all the fuss. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY messes with my beloved Mako Mori & gets away with it. I'm a vegetarian & these are my kids pets so I cant send Little Miss Trouble Maker off to Freezer Camp or give her away, but shes gotten a flip flop in the butt a few times, has been put in a time out a few times & has lost some snack privileges. My crazy menagerie of critters usually gets along really well... Keep your fingers crossed for me that this all blows over soon.
When I introduced our 5 ducklings to the adults, all the aggression was on the 'lings side. They would charge up to the adults (2 pekins) and just push them around and peck at them, hence we call the 'lings "the mob"! LOL Now, after a few months, everyone is getting along (most of the time). But I HAVE seen the adults put the babies (4 months old now) in their place.one of my hens was picking on my little call babies this morning!
brats!! thats what they are, i think its just a pecking order thing, though i did yell at her, whats funny is she probably weighs less than my ducks lol, but they still run away
Yes! Except the ducks provoked our sweet hen(s) into attacking out of self-defense. (not to sound cruel, but they deserved it, the little duck bratsI haven't hijacked Banti's thread in a long time, but shes so sweet about us going off topic that I cant resist.![]()
