Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

I am not sure how I would wrap a web, but I sure would give it a try, Maybe cut the end of an old sock off and wrap that around the toes securing at the ankle. It would hold a dressing in place. I can almost bet she will not like it. You may have to make a sling to hold her.

Or fill the tub the Epson salt and make her swim in it for an hour or so a couple times a day.

I have no idea am just guessing here.

A new couch shrink wrapped, the WWD will be so happy!

She's in the house, too cold for her to be anywhere but. Not sure how I'd wrap a duck web....
This is the best video I could find on wrapping a duck:

But seriously, I just did some looking around and it seems that #1 is avoid wrapping a webbed foot - if it can be treated and kept fairly clean (changing towels frequently etc) that is best. If you have to wrap a webbed foot, I think you essentially make a shoe. You build a foundation with a gauss pad and maybe some cardboard below it, then wrap that with the foot. This way, the foundation keeps the foot from being squished together or the web being pulled between the toes. I have never done this myself, but from the bits and pieces I can find, I believe this is how it is done.

That all makes sense! All I have ever done with webbed creatures is pay too much for them feed them for 3 months, step in their poo and sell them for less than I paid for them.

Oh and be chased all over the farm by them when I was a little kid!

That is the cutest video LOL

Ouch!  Did I miss something?  I thought she was doing good and starting to eat.  Can you post a pic so that those who know more than me can chime in?  I've seen ducks/geese with missing webs, so she shouldn't loose the whole foot just for a web.

I will try and get a pic. Her attitude is improving still, and she's got her old spark back. Stands well on her single web.

BTW, anyone know how much feed a 4lb duck should be eating per day? Not sure how much I should be getting in her.
