Duckling Diaries: the Life and Times of a Welshie Trio

I have an idea that might help. Form a group of farmers, mountain men, recluses and national park squatters and call it SCRAPS (Sensible Coyote Reeducation As Predator Scum). Then organize a walk (you would probably need help from Wisconsin with this) Where people on the outskirts of the states get bells and noise makers and make a whole bunch of ruckus while walking inward toward MSP. After a couple miles they hand off the bells/fire crackers/etc to the next group and go home and the next group walks inward (repeat as necessary). This would herd all the state's coyotes inward toward MSP. Once you get within about 5 miles of MSP city limits, you erect a 6' chain link fence around the entire combined metro area. That should hold the coyotes in long enough for them to realize that dumpsters are a better source of food than farms (why eat a bird when you can have Taco Belle?). After a couple weeks or so, you could reclaim the fence as the coyotes would be happy with their new lot in life. If this doesn't work out well enough, you will probably get the metro-dwellers to vote with you on coyote eradication legislation.

This is a variation of my farm day picnic.

When we pack up the kids, ATV's and dogs and head for the suburbs and find a nice fancy yard and swimming pool. Where we set up our tents, tables and we drink beer, throw the cans around, let the kids swim in the pool and crap behind the trees.

After a few hours of tearing up the lawn with the ATV's we pack up and go home leaving the mess for the locals to pick up....

Yep, I think we have two countries, an Urban one and a Rural one. They need us to eat, we don't need them...

Wanna meet me in the suburbs?

ROFL....

I might have written that a tad "poorly"..... But normal people understood what I meant.

I am actually surprised someone in Montana even knows what Urban is....

BTW I hear you had some nasty weather....Vacuums to be you. I have spring this week!

The extremes I have lived in have been Spokane, WA (Metro approx 548K) and Jefferson County, MT average population density 0.5 people/sq. mile. I have been in more and less populated areas, but I can grok Urban

The weather has had a lot of snow and ice lately, but it hasn't really affected me as I have just been driving most of the time (about 3200 miles so far this year).
