Actually You could be right. I thought this was a loose hay clamp but the ends are wrong. I have never seen one like this, we use to just use a rope cinched around the gut.

This one I know well, it is a set of hay forks. These were pushed into a load of loose hay (it worked on bales too) and then pulled up to a trolley on a track in the middle of the hay mow and pulled to the back of the barn and dumped. I have a set much like this....

I though you posted a picture of hand held hay forks also, but I do not see it now.. I will give it to you you have cool antiques for a duck lover...


Using antique irons as a replacement for wood blocks is a waste..........:barnie
