Duckling eye infection/blind?? Help!!

Wow...That needs a Vet to help it out. We are only Backyard people too and that looks serious and painful..

Yes, they were poking at him and when I woke up yesterday he was lifeless, I've brought him back from the dead and he's acting good as new... Minus the eye that had gotten worse. It was open yesterday and looked like a jellyfish was on his eye then it progresses to the second picture and now we're at the first.

Eye injury is painful and if they popped his eyeball?..It's terrible painful. Sorry it needs a Vet ..

I would do all that has been mentioned until you get a vet apt if that is possible.

Terramycin is an antibiotic ointment for eyes which may help also you never know till you try.

Depending on whether a vet is available to you. There are some things you can try. Do you have any antibiotic eye drops from kiddos prescriptions?

Many of us don't have avian or waterfowl vets, nor the funds! So we try to help each other the best we can.
Personally, I'd just keep it rinsed and clean, and hopefully it doesn't get infected. Saline rinse would be safe, and the other things suggested.
