Hey everyone. As you all know, I am a wildlife rescuer. However, here in our area we don’t get ducklings often. We were called to pick up this little one who needs help desperately. Does anyone know what this is? All help is appreciated.

It has very similar markings to an Egyptian Goose.
Both eyes appear pretty severely infected, do you have a veterinarian nearby experienced with birds you could take it to?
If not, can you loosen some of the gunk around the eye with a moist towel, or opthamlic drops?
Is the duckling able to eat, or drink at all?

I've never seen a bird with that condition, but I rescued a feral kitten once with an eye that looked just like that. I took her to a cat eye vet and they had to remove her eye globe. :( They said the infection had damage her eye so severely there was no chance at saving it.

Of course, that doesn't mean this is what is happening to your bird, but I definitely think you should take them to an avian vet.
