Duckling hatch along

The ducklings really want out of their egg! They keep shaking their eggs and moving the eggs by them! Their little peeps are so sweet to hear! I will not help them hatch in less I really needed to!
How sweet!!! :love they will be so extra precious because you incubated them, I bet. I am getting ready to set Welsh Harlequin eggs... thats actually what brought me to your thread. I sure am glad it did, too!

Does it really need to take 48 hrs? I CAN'T WAIT THAT LONG!!!!
You can do it! It won't even seem like that long once they have hatched!

Is it your first line incubating duck eggs? What incubator are you using? I hope you get lots of ducklings!

It is. I'm actually going to put them under my broody... she's pretty serious about wanting some babies. I moved her into a separate brooding box inside my house this evening with her fake eggs... and will swap them out with the fertile duck eggs when they arrive and are rested for 24H :wee

A broody chicken or duck? I hope you get a great hatch rate! How many eggs do you have?

It's going to be iffy... between shipping, time of year/temperature during shipping(heat pack is going into shipping box to help with that) etc... Im being very reserved in my level of excitement until the eggs have been candled a few times with steady progress. She is a broody chicken - black copper marans. She will be gifted 14 eggs!

She's broody in winter?! I wish I had broodys around this time! I would love to see pics when they hatch. Do you have any other ducks?

I wad surprised, too! I was going to put her in broody prison, but she seemed so happy with her little group of fake eggs that she collected, LOL. I was worried about how cold it is outside though, so that's why I moved her to a broody box inside my house :love ...plus then she will stop stealing eggs from the other girls.
