Thank youWhen a large portion of the membrane is exposed while the duckling is still absorbing the yolk sac, one you want the baby to absorb, you wouldn't want premature drying of the membrane to occur which may lead to shrink wrapping, that's why you want to keep it moist with either Neosporin or I use coconut oil. Any pain relief product that has "Caine" in it shouldn't be used with poultry as caine is toxic to birds.
