Duckling help (Urgent!)

Ducks enjoy water, the water was not cold. The duck chose to go in there by choice, this is natural behavior? He also sits in his food bowl it's just his personality. It actually helps him not having to move too far to get to his water and food bowl :)
Only asking because your having an issue..I know Ducks...

As they get older and go outside, what do you guys use or plan to use as a feeder? Will they use thise enclosed ones like the chickens? And what kind of ground cover after they kill the grass? I know straw for the house and I can already see it will be a mess..lol
I use one that looks like this

It’s a tote that I cut holes out of, put plumbing elbows in. They stick their neck in to get the food. A lot less messy this way.

What're you talking about my ducklings are CRAZY. Whenever I approach them they run away and freak out, they also tend to puke on us... It's just a stress thing. They mostly like being left alone. But I also have to hold them so they get used to us humans, they're always in the water tho they dry each other off though :)! The only duck who will let us properly touch us no problem is the one in this post, he actually prefers human company over ducks. But thanks for the advice on the wings. And I agree lol ;)

Maybe put the lid on the water bowl with a spot cutout so that they can only stick their head in. Less mess and no worries about ducks getting cold. They do enjoy water, but they don't have the feathers needed to keep warm and insulated yet. They only have their baby feathers. Sorry, can't remember the correct feather terms. ;)
