Duckling help!!!

My pekin duckling has been happy and healthy until today, it started doing this (see picture). it'll walk fine, eat and drink fine, but then slowly does this motion of lowering its butt and putting its head down. then it lays down and puts its beak on the ground. Not sure what to do & if it's dying.

Is your duckling pooping?

Is your pekin getting extra niacin in its crumbles?

I don't know what is going on. Keep it warm and with free access to food and water, and wait and see is what I would do.

I can’t explain exactly what is going on with the little guy. I once had a duckling with wry neck and did some research and found out that increasing vitamins in their water helps. Could be a vitamin or niacin deficiency. What are you feeding and are you adding vitamins to their water?

Do they have access to water deep enough to clean their nares? A ducklings diet is EXTREMELY important and Pekins need even more than the typical duck/duckling formulated feed. Pekins grow so much so fast that they need more nutritional support, especially niacin.
