Well it’s that time of year again! Snagged these two babies up at TSC, but are they Ancona or Magpie?

Personally, I don't know if this is true, but, I think Anconas and Magpies are the same thing. I would say Magpie though. @casportpony @Miss Lydia

Magpies and Ancona are not the same. Magpies only have color on the head and back whereas Anconas have a random pattern of color anywhere.

They are cuties! Our tractor supply only ever has pekins! I have never seen anything different at ours.

Look like magpies to me. Ancona ducklings look like they've been splashed with paint. Those have headspots and backspots.

Other than that, I have no idea what the difference is.
