I just hatched a bunch of assorted ducklings from Metzer. Unfortunately, a new employee just wrote “mix” on my eggs and not the breeds so I have no idea what I even could have hatched. (They are not mixed breeds. They are all pure breeds that Metzer would also sell, so that’s a starting point.) heres one I’m stumped on. It has mottled feet.

Also I have a buch of yellow. Are they all Pekin or could they be something else?

Lastly, any way to know if something is a chocolate runner or a khaki Campbell?

(There are also a couple welsh harlequin and quite a few silver Appleyard I got from a local breeder.)

The yellow ones could be Pekin, if their feet and bills are bright yellow/orange
or White Layers, if their feet and bills are more fleshy colored
or (Fawn and) White runners if they are slim looking with a very upright posture.
The last one could be a chocolate runner.
As for the others - no idea! Khaki Campbell, Buff Orpington?

1st pic duckling is probably a welsh harlequin.The mostly yellow ones with the dot on their heads are silver Appleyard. And some of the yellow ones might be buff by the darker yellow on the head.The last one is most likely a chocolate Runner.

I wondered about welsh, but I have two that are definitely welsh and they don’t look alike....

I’m thinking the first could be a golden 300? Metzer actually said they will help me I’d since they just wrote mix so I am sending them photos too.

The first one I was questioning is a female Golden 300. (Turns out I hatched three... all females!) The brown is a Khaki Campbell. The yellow are either Pekin or White Layer.
