Duckling not acting right

So it's definitely a broken blood feather. How do I take care of this? I'm slightly freaking out

I have never had to treat it, but I believe that first you try to stop the bleeding with something like corn starch or blood stop product, and if it continues to bleed, it needs to be pulled.

We just got back from the vet.

She has already stretched both legs and wings and is drinking. She took some meal worms but still isn't thrilled about eating. I have her separated for the time being, vet said I should be able to reintegrate her tomorrow.

Wow alot has happened since we last talked, glad you found the problem and it's nothing life threatening. Just make sure flies don't get to this while there is an open wound, maggots you don't want to deal with. That can be life threatening. There's a product called swat that can help if flies are a problem. Veterycin should help heal too.

Did you ever figure out what happened?@MandBducks

I have no clue what happened. I think she got herself stuck somewhere and panicked as she has some scratches on her web on the same side of her body. I'm going to keep a close eye on her. I really appreciate all the help!

So not so great update. I figured out how B broke her blood feather. Today I have witnessed her have two seizures. She does have some intermittent jaw chewing as well. I'm at a loss. All of this came on rather suddenly the day after our hot temps. Although her overall attitude has improved and she continues to eat egg and meal worms and drink, the seizures continue.

I have been giving her extra niacin and am continuing with the nutridrench. Additionally, I have some Penicillin G and am wondering if I should start that as a precautionary.

I just can't afford to continue to take her to the emergency vet. It's not feasible for me. Any ideas or tips are greatly appreciated.
