Duckling not acting right

The green poop might be from not eating. I am going to see if I can get @casportpony
here to help.  I think there is info on her Sig too be right back.

Thank you so much for your help Miss Lydia. I syringe fed B last night. She woke me up quacking this morning and is bright eyed and fluffy tailed

She won't eat egg now, I snuck some meds on them before so I think she's turning them down. She did show immense interest in meal worms and ate a good handful. I then sprinkled them on her food and she is getting them out of her food with mouthfuls of food!

Now that she is feeling better she won't settle down. She has been up all morning. I would really like to get her back out with her buds but don't know what to do med wise. I haven't been able to figure out dosage for stringing Duramyacin 10. Maybe just a few doses a day?

I was hoping @casportpony would help out on the meds sorry she hasn't been here.

I'd do that just give her meds a few times a day. Sounds to me like the food has done a world of good. Put her with her buds and watch for any signs she isn't doing well.

No problem!

I tube fed her all day yesterday and put her out this morning. She walked right over to the food bowl and started eating with the others. Hopefully it's all good from here!

Awesome awesome awesome and a yip eee!! lol So happy to hear she is making the turn around now. Getting that nourishment into her probably was the best thing.

Now we need some pics of her and her buds.

How the heat out there you must be in the west. it's hot here but not like they have been showing in other parts of the country.

I'll get a picture of them in a few. I have been trying not to distract them as every time I check on them she is eating!

Yup, in the west. Luckily we get a lot of summer rain so today is about 98 and tomorrow the high is 94. It's generally about 10-20 degrees cooler in their pen. That crazy hot spell just did us in!

Stretching her wings.

Getting a drink.
She looks great. Beautiful ducks thanks for sharing and keep us updated on how they are doing. I know this wasn't anything you enjoyed but just think of the valuable experience you now have for yourself and to help someone else. Your pen looks so clean and well kept How do you do it. lol

I'm a bit neurotic

I tend to pick up poop daily and now I check the perimeters for anything possibly toxic (since I still have no idea what caused this).

Thank you for all your help Miss Lydia. Hopefully this thread will help someone out in a similar situation. I don't want to get too ahead of myself or jinx anything, but I'm so glad B is pulling through, largely thanks to your help and direction.

Well you did all the work and saved her. I am with you very happy B is pulling through too. Look forward to hearing more from you on how well she is doing too. And the others!!

Just very thankful it's all over now and you can breath easy.

Unfortunately B had a pretty significant seizure again this morning. It lasted about two minutes and she even lost control of her tongue which flipped out of her mouth. At this point I'm beginning to think its epilepsy as I would have expected her to go down hill more quickly after stopping the antibiotics if it was something that could be treated (she has been off antibiotics for about 6 days). None of the other birds have any symptoms. She seemed to be doing better and then had this huge seizure this morning. I'm at a complete loss.

Also, all the avian veterinarians are out of town in my area all week into Monday because of the holiday. Figures.
