HELP! My 3 weeks, 6 day old ducking Gouda is not eating! I know she is hungry because her tummy right under her neck is rock hard and flat; there is nothing in it. What's wrong? Will she be okay? Can I fix it?

Was she eating befor? Has anything happend different to her? What are you feeding her? How long has it been? Is she drinking? Is there a bill injury or something stuck in her mouth?

What does she have to eat? Food with water 24/7 is recommended for ducklings.

Sometimes they get impacted - their digestion stops. It is serious and the best is a good duck vet. Not always possible. But often even a non-duck vet can figure out how to help, and they have equipment if needed.

Is she drinking? How long has this been happening?

I don't know how long this has been happening but I did move her to a bigger place to live, can stress cause not eating? She is drinking and she is getting duckling mash.

Stress can effect ducks. Since she's drinking, I'd add nutridrench to her water or if you don't have any, make soup with her food. Basically more water than food. See if she'll try slurping some up. I'd also monitor the amount you give her. You need to know if she's ingesting any.

Yes I've seen that thread and,

, the soup idea worked! Somehow she didn't recognize her food I'm guessing so when I added it to some water she ate that and ran for her other food.

I guess she's not the sharpest tool in the shed? She gave me quite the scare.
