Why do you think the duckling is so unstable?

Probably because it had a difficult hatch. You said it was shrink wrapped, so it could have been struggling to hatch for awhile and now it is tired and needs to rest

The duckling today seems worse, it seems tired it has its eyes closed, and can’t walk. It looks dead but chirps and breaths occasionally. I don’t think he will make it. I tried feeding it, and giving it water. Nothing worked.

leave it in incubator even for 48 hours. you cannot do anything. he does not need food and water, he needs to be warm and rest.

Sadly the duck past away. Thank you for all the support. I have always wanted to hatch out an egg since I was little I even bought an incubator and tried buying fertile budgie eggs (I got scammed $400). Now, I have found abandoned duck eggs and incubated them. One hatched but died, such a roller coaster of emotions I am happy and sad but at the same time I have learned so much and this has been a journey full of new expiriences and again, thank you so much to all of you who tried to help me.
